From 3 to 7 June 2024, Bilbao hosted the 23nd edition of BIEMH – the International Machine Tool Exhibition. Naturally, ARCENTECH decided to go see what this great fair had to offer.
37614 visitors from more than 60 countries participated both in BIEMH itself and in its parallel events ADDIT3D, BeDIGITAL and WORKinn Hub. According to the data, this edition gathered over 1600 exhibitor companies from 29 countries. This shows that BIEMH is a key event for the manufacturing industry. In 2024, numerous technological innovations and an increase in international participation were the main highlights.
As this is the first year that ARCENTECH attends BIEMH, let us explain what it is. BEMH is held every two years in Spain. A national benchmark, it is Europe’s third most important fair in its filed. Therefore, this event is a cornerstone of the industrial sector, as it brings together manufacturers, suppliers, experts and professionals from all over the world to showcase the latest innovations in machinery, equipment and technologies related to the manufacturing industry. In fact, BIEMH is renownes for its ability to drive innovation, promote technological development and facilitate collaboration between business. Thus, it enables growth and competition in the industrial sector both nationally and internationally.
BIEMH is organised by AFM, Machine Tool Manufacturers, AIMHE, Machine Tools Importers and the Bilbao Exhibition Centre. It also has the support of SPRI-Basque Government as an institutional partner.
The fair has different areas and axclusive spaces to make sure visitors do not miss a thing. Everything has been designed to showcase a wide range of products, technologies and services related to the machine tools industry.
Exhibition areas were divided into 6 large spaces with a huge number of machine tools in action, allowing visitors to witness their capabilities first-hand. Visitors could also inspect many different machines, as well as tools of all kinds, automation systems and equipment, industrial software and a plethora of products related to the manufacture and technology of machine tools. We were pleasantly surprised by the current programming capabilities, creating perfectly crafted components.
Besides these areas, BIEMH also had exclusive spaces where attendees could exchange ideas, learn from each other and establish professional contacts. And in case that was not enough, the event also offered a rich programme with conferences, meetings and debates. ARCENETCH attended some of them, a great way to learn about ht elatest technologies available in the market and future developments.
In short, the BIEMH 2024 offered a unique experience for all those professionals looking to drive innovation, expand their network and keep up with the latest trends in the machine tool industry.
