II HIGH SECURITY AND INTELLIGENCE TECHNOLOGIES, DRONES AND ANTIDRONES FAIR 2023 – Security Technology Fair
New technologies:
New technologies are key in the development of any sector and they are associated with security challenges that require increasingly sophisticated solutions. To keep updated on the possibilities of this booming sector, on April 26th and 27th ARCENTECH visited the Security Technology Fair, the II High Security and Intelligence Technologies, Drones and Antidrones Fair.
Enrique Belda Esplugues, Deputy Director General of Information Systems and Communications for Security mentioned the following in the presentation of the exhibition: “It is striking how they have joined, in a single enclosure, two concepts that, although initially different, are presented as one due to the complementarity of their different technologies for the needs of security”.
Arcentech could not agree more, since nowadays drones and the sensors they can mount make them both an additional tool to reinforce security and a potential threat for which it is necessary to have the right tools to counteract it. As for the companies present at the fair, in addition to large companies with international prestige, we were very impressed by the participation of small Spanish companies that are trying to make their way in a very complex world.
DRONExpo:
In the DRONExpo part of the exhibition there were a large number of companies dedicated to the manufacture and sale of drones of all kinds. From aerial surveillance vehicles to drones capable of spraying a large area of crop fields. Also of interest was the presence of companies dedicated to the design of underwater drones capable of performing a multitude of functions underwater such as the repair and maintenance of maritime facilities and ships.

As we said before, one of these small companies is dedicated to the design and manufacture of aerial drones. According to one of their workers, they carry out all the work in Spain and only resort to foreign companies for the purchase of certain components that they are unable to find in Spain.
TECNOSEC:
On the part of TECNOSEC, the technology presented further emphasizes the importance of security and cybersecurity in the lives of both citizens and companies.
One of the stands, of the many that were visited, was an American company that promoted a software capable of associating a security property to each of the documents present on the servers of a company. In this way, these documents can be tracked and the system is able to locate where the document has been saved or how it has moved through the system. It can even activate alerts if the document is outside the systems where it should be stored and even delete them.
This fair not only had a multitude of stands from various companies and public bodies presenting the latest developments, but also brought together numerous experts who participated in a large number of round tables, conferences and presentations. The round tables on the 26th “Intelligence Tools: Security and Signal Intelligence” and on the 27th “Digital Identity and Biometrics: Facial Recognition, AI Identification, Borders and Events” and the presentation made by the National Police “Drones in National Police: Opportunities and Threats”, which was a clear example of the importance of making good use of new technologies. Despite dealing with such different topics, all of them were of great interest, as they show the current state of these technologies and the importance of understanding how they affect the security of all of us.
For all these reasons, ARCENTECH will not hesitate to attend again if this same fair is confirmed in 2024 and encourages all those who are interested in this subject to attend, because in one year the technology presented will surely surprise us.
